Frequently Asked Questions:

How Do Las Vegas Nightclub Guest Lists Work?

Las Vegas nightclubs need to have customers inside drinking, dancing, and enjoying themselves. As a way to make sure that happens, they allow a portion of their door to go to people (aka: you) who signed up through us in advance letting them know you were coming.

In return, you’re given free (or discounted) cover charge, a separate (often shorter) line to get in, and occasionally even drink tickets or an open bar. And since they want to make sure there is a good mix of both girls and guys inside, girls are given preference and they require guys to have at least as many girls checking in with them in order to be on the guest list.

What Time Do We Have To Sign Up By?

We submit our lists in each night at 8 p.m. (pacific), so you’ll just need to have signed up by 8 p.m. the night of the event so you don’t miss the cut off. You’re welcome to signup days, weeks, or months before your event as well.

What Does “List Closes” Mean?

If a list says “10:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.,” that means that the nightclub opens at 10:30 p.m. and they plan to stop honoring the guest list at 1:00 a.m.

We strongly recommend arriving as early as possible, because all guest lists are subject to capacity and the venue management may decide to end them earlier than planned. This doesn’t happen often, but it does happen.

What If The Nightclub Doormen Doesn’t Honor The List?

As we mentioned above, the VAST majority of guest lists are honored as described. No issues whatsoever. If you signed up and arrive on time, you’re good.

Occasionally, however, a venue will be so busy that they shut off and / or modify the guest list.

We will do our best to let you know in advance if we’re told of any changes (look out for LasVegasNightclubs.com e-mails), but that’s ultimately up to the nightclub’s management. We can make sure you’re on the list, but the door is under their control.

Is There Any Difference In Signing Up Through You Or Someone Else?

LasVegasNightclubs.com / CompGuestList.com (we’re the same team) has worked directly with every major Las Vegas nightclub and dayclub on The Strip since 2006. We’re the longest-running, most-established, and (hey, we like to think) coolest Vegas nightlife website in existence

Our guest list system ties directly in with each of the nightclubs. So when you signup through us, your guest list reservation is literally inputted into the exact same list that their doormen would use for their own reservations. There is no difference.

We’re not trying to bash anyone else (promoters, other websites, strangers you meet), but we certainly can’t guarantee they have the same direct access as we do, or that they’ll even get your name in on time.

What Are The Dress codes At Las Vegas Nightclubs?

Easiest way to stay within dress code? Just look your best and dress like you’re going out.

Women generally can get away with most anything reasonable, whereas guys just need to be careful not to wear sportswear, baggy anything, ball caps, and questionable shoes (*clubs are relaxing on shoes lately, but officially any kind of

What Can’t We Bring Inside With Us?

For the most part, nightclub security will just make sure you don’t have weapons, alcohol, or drugs when you’re coming in. In recent years, they’ve become more adamant about checking everyone individually, so don’t be surprised if someone pads you down with a metal detector.

Are There Any Nightclubs For Those Under Age 21?

Unfortunately, no. Every single nightclub, bar, and / or strip club that sells alcohol in Las Vegas is 21+. They don’t care if you’re almost 21, are cute, drink back home, or are an internationally known pop star. Have to be 21+.

What If I Lost My ID?

That sucks. You’re going to need to find one. Las Vegas nightclub security are pretty strict about everyone inside being 21 and up, requiring a proper government-issued ID to let you past the ropes.

Can I Smoke Weed Inside Las Vegas Nightclubs?

We’ve got some good news and bad news for our friends who enjoy marijuana.

As of 2017, recreational marijuana is legal in the State of Nevada. If you’re 21, you can walk in and buy it at dispensaries (as of July 1st). So that’s good.

But all Las Vegas nightclubs are inside casinos, and casinos still (currently) abide by federal law, so nightclub staff will be forced to kick you out if they catch you smoking weed. Same goes for anywhere on casino property. It’s a little silly, we agree, but that’s the law they have to follow as of now.
