Not all of the best DJs come from overseas, but a good amount of them do. That includes Norweigan sensation Kygo, who came onto the music scene in 2013 then claimed his title as an international crowd-puller in 2013 with the single “I See Fire,” a remix of Ed Sheeran’s soundtrack single from The Hobbit. By 2015 he had become such a well-known artist that his Spotify was the first one to reach 1 billion streams, followed by 2 billion the year after.
His career took off quickly, and he was further launched into the spotlight with singles like “Stay,” “Higher Love,” and “It Ain’t Me.” He has continued to include remixes in with his work, producing originals and beloved favorites with his “tropical” spin. This keeps his fans engaged, allowing them to hear classics they grew up with like “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and “Higher Love,” while still putting out music gold with the likes of Selena Gomez and One Republic. He can be seen taking the stage at XS Nightclub, putting on a top-tier performance that leaves attendees screaming for more.
