The new attraction offers an exciting new selection of beverages and cuisine
Josh Lang is a managing partner of The Still, a venue that he describes as “the ultimate sports bar” at the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip. He says that the ambiance is one of the factors that sets the space apart from any other spot in the area. Per Lang, “there are TVs everywhere and our 31-foot airstream kitchen is unlike anything the Vegas Strip has ever seen.”
The Still’s grand opening is today, on Tuesday, March 29. Lang hypes us up for the momentous occasion by whetting our appetites with details on the offerings. “We have a massive beer list, and our food menu consists of sliders, wings, & street tacos.”
Lang’s favorite item on the menu is the mini-cheeseburger. He tells us, “I am a sucker for burgers and fries.” But what’s really exciting (especially for those looking to imbibe while on a Vegas vacation), are the cocktail menu options that feature classic drinks “with a twist.” The specialty “HOPTAILS” are original concoctions that pair spirits with a beer. On the shooters menu, drink fans will find house-infused whiskies. Lang suggests the Roy Munson as his favorite drink, which is named after Woody Harrelson’s character in the 1996 film, King Pin.
Lang brings his hospitality expertise to the table at the new sports bar. Originally from Sandusky, Ohio, he says he moved to Las Vegas in July of 2009 “to test myself by doing what I love in the most competitive market place in the world for hospitality.” On that note, he adds, “I have made a point to learn as much about my field as possible. I have worked with pools, clubs, lounges, and now restaurants, in many different capacities. And those experiences have made my transition possible.” And now, on the day of the grand opening of The Strip’s newest attraction, he gets to really show off what he’s made of, and we’re here for it.
