Diplo is no ordinary DJ. He has his fingers in more pies than someone at a pie eating contest, and works alongside some of the biggest names in the electronic genre. Not only is he part of the world renowned Major Lazer, but he also operates within several other groups including LSD with Sia, Silk City with Mark Ronson, and Jack Ü with Skrillex. When he first stepped onto the scene, Diplo worked with M.I.A., owing a large part of his popularity and exposure to the famous group. They found him DJing in London at a popular club named Fabric, then brought him on to work together for several projects, including the song “Paper Planes” which skyrocketed on the charts to number 4 at its peak.
Diplo continued to gain momentum on the music scene, pairing up with other big players in the electronic and house genres. He has played countless shows and concerts with Major Lazer and Jack Ü, including Coachella in 2016. He also worked on “Where Are Ü Now” with pop sensation Justin Bieber, who also won a Grammy alongside the Skrillex and Diplo duo for the song. Diplo plays his infamous tracks at XS Nightclub, fitting in with all the other heavy hitters that perform there.
