Joey Avino.

Not your typical computer geek. But we’re thinking if more tech entrepreneurs looked like the Martin’s hunk next door, Amedia owner Joey Avino, female attendance in computer science courses could skyrocket.

How long have you lived in Las Vegas?

About 18 months.

If not originally from Las Vegas, where did you grow up and what brought you to Las Vegas?

Grew up in New York City, moved to Vegas to re-locate my company, Amedia Creative, due to a better tax climate.

What do you find to be beautiful?

Honestly, what a person can create. Cars, art, spaces, food, technology, a life.

Describe your perfect day:

Every day at some point I approach someone and say “you’re not going to believe this.” In fact it happened today. A perfect day for me, is a day without that sort of drama. These days are few and far between.

What hobbies, hidden talents, and activities do you enjoy?

I ride motorbikes, skiing, as far as talents it’s hard to say. I paint, but I hate doing it. I love building technology, that’s not a hobby though–it’s my job. I hit the gym about 6 days a week, it’s a drug to me. What else… oh I can cook and make drinks fairly well.

Are you involved in any side businesses, projects or charities?

One of my clients runs a really great charity organization called Village Care. VillageCare.com. I love working with them on their projects. We are launching a new web site for them in the next three weeks. I’m suppose to go to Africa with them, hopefully that will happen this year or next.

If we were to select the 2013 Most Beautiful People in Las Vegas, who would you nominate to be included?

Holly Madison and her good friend Jared Garcia.
